Thanks Leigh.

You’re absolutely right. SpeedRead.io works well with online digital content like PDF, Word, websites, etc. but clearly there are myriad non-digital contexts where having the skills to read faster are more appropriate.

Thanks again for the post – am pleased to “meet” people who are as passionate about this as we are!

Mike

Thanks Mike

Software like yours can be really useful. People often talk to us about it when they come to our Advanced Reading course. We think software like this can work really well in tandem with the skills we teach people. The two different types of reading technique — with software and without — lend themselves to different situations, different reading material, and different types of people. They can complement each other well.

Thanks
Leigh

You might want to check out http://www.speedread.io.

We use the same scientifically proven technique as in the Honda ad called “Rapid Serial Visual Presentation” (or RSVP for short). By presenting words one after the other in the same place it removes the need for your eyes to move from left to right. By avoiding this movement you can massively increase the speed at which you can read and take in information. In fact, may people are using this technique to read at over 1,000 words per minute which is over five times the average speed at which people read.

Cheers,

Mike

p.s. For anyone who wants to read a classic novel in their lunchbreak they can try some free books at http://www.speedread.io/free-classics
